School Pictures

With the advancement of cameras and the new found ease in which your average Joe can take and edit their own pictures, enabling them to look as if they have been professionally taken, one would think that professional photographers (especially big photography companies) would be much more competitive in their pricing. Generally speaking of course as I have only had experience with the one company that has my blood boiling; the big and widely known school portrait company Lifetouch Portraits.
Year after year I have watched the cost of their portrait packages go up and the number of actual portraits in each package go down. With the number of schools across the nation that they do business with I find it incredibly distasteful, disgusting, and repulsive that they have chosen to literally rape the parents of this nation's school system. There is NO reason and NO excuse why they should have such high prices for their portraits with the widely available technology out there. Their continued price increase and product decrease is a huge slap in the face to all parents; SHAME on Lifetouch Portraits for being so greedy and failing to think innovatively for those that keep them in business; yes Lifetouch in case you were wondering those would be your CUSTOMERS.
